In a Word: Rain

It’s April — and you know what they say, April showers brings May flowers. I don’t mind the rain, though, it’s kind of a treat for me. Los Angeles weather is pretty consistent all year round so when it does rain I gladly use it as an excuse to wear warmer sweaters, drink something hot and splash around in my Wellies.

Can’t you just smell the rain already?

  1. I love wearing wellies. Wish it rained more so I had a good excuse to wear them more often.

  2. while i do love the smell of rain and freshly wet soil, and the sounds of a thunderstorm at night, we have the correlating appreciation for sunshine in Portland. Our weather is consistently gray and rainy, so a sunny day is an excuse to skip work and other obligations, lay at the park, ride your bike around without fenders, and play a game of kickball on a probably still muddy field.
