These decorative ceramic pieces by Karo Art are fun with a side of fun, a double dose of fun, if you will. I’m fond of the Clouds in the Sky ceramic tile and I could imagine hanging that in entryway that would elicit a smile or two from guests or the occasional door-to-door salesperson. Do you get hounded by sales people? Recently, a salesman knocked on my door and tried selling me steak. Yes, steak. Completely random, I know. And no, I didn’t buy any steak from him.
Pray tell, what’s the most interesting and/or odd thing a door-to-door salesperson has pitched to you?
I haven’t always been the biggest fan of the color purple, but it’s been starting to grow on me, especially in the summertime. One of my favorite cardigans (I own a dozen at least) is purple one that’s starting to show signs of age, no longer the loud, vibrant purple it once was when I purchased it last year.
Here’s a slew of vibrant purple, the color I’ve been crushing on lately:

Last week while perusing Holly Becker’s blog decor8 (which has been recently redesigned and if you haven’t seen it, take a look!), I stumbled across wedding expert Matthew Robbins’ book Inspired Weddings.
With a beautifully styled cover, I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s one of those books that from the cover alone I have a gut feeling the interior will be laden with gorgeous photos of his innovative ideas galore for decorating and table setting a wedding.
The book is centered around basing “your wedding design on an object you and your spouse-to-be find meaningful”, and a from the previews I’ve seen that a lot of the book is infused with vivid colors and florals. Looking for extra wedding ideas? Pick up your copy over at Amazon.

Creative husband and wife team Gerren and Morgana Lamson of Satchel & Sage put the “fun” in “funky”. I love their hand-drawn and eclectic style of the prints they currently have in stock in their shop, particularly their woodland creature series.
Be sure to check out their newly released patterned pillows cases, too.
