The ocean and some of its inhabitants have been making quite an appearance on the blog lately, hasn’t it? Ever since I started planning my daughter’s ocean-themed birthday party, I’ve been kind of obsessed with various shades of greens and blues, the kind that can only be purely produced by the ocean.
This week’s color crush is actually one that focuses on nature-inspired art, photos, and crafts that feature the absence of color: black and white.
I’m currently crushing on the colors produced by citruses. Vibrant in color and tart and refreshing all year long.
Ordinarily, I’m not the biggest fan of pink, and I’ve only featured it once on the blog, a deep, vibrant variant of pink, but I have to admit it goes splendidly with green. It’s quite an elegant pairing.
Here’s a number of pink and green nature-inspired photos and products to tickle your green and pink fancy.
Tan is a color you’ll find in abundance in my closet, it’s in my top three of favorite colors, and though I know that black is commonly said to match anything, in all honesty I think tan goes superbly with any color and outfit. I think it adds a layer of elegance. Think about it neon pink with tan? And neon pink with black. Which sounds more ’80s and which sounds a little more refined?
Without further adieu, here’s a slew of tan (and white) art, photos, accessories and more from some of my favorite artists.
