I haven’t always been the biggest fan of the color purple, but it’s been starting to grow on me, especially in the summertime. One of my favorite cardigans (I own a dozen at least) is purple one that’s starting to show signs of age, no longer the loud, vibrant purple it once was when I purchased it last year.
Here’s a slew of vibrant purple, the color I’ve been crushing on lately:
Here’s a current color crush of mine that can best describe the heat of the summer right now: rust. It’s been in the 90’s in my neck of the woods, with a few random rain and thunderstorms here and there the past few weeks. I’m not usually a fan of red, but I love it combined with oranges and browns. These colors of rust make me yearn for fall, though fall the heat often seems to rise a bit higher in September and October.
An endlessly enjoyable pastime of my little ones’ is looking up at the sky at a sea of clouds and imagining different shapes and forms they can see in the sky. It’s a pastime I enjoy on long drives, freeing my mind of any worries or schedules, if only for a short while. I haven’t had the privilege of viewing clouds from above very often as I seldom travel by plane, but when I do, the clouds and colors are always a beautiful sight to behold.
Here’s a small compilation of blankets in the sky:
I visit the Irvine Regional Park a few times a year. It’s a nice place to have a picnic, unwind, let the kids run around, enjoy the scenery, and the natural setting provides a great backdrop for photo shoots. A couple years ago when I was out on a photo shoot, I spotted a peacock walking around the park. It unfortunately didn’t have its wings unfurled, but being within mere yards of it without the separation of a cage or fence was exciting enough for me. They are beautiful creatures to see in person and they almost project a sense of regality .
I’m crazy about the blue and green color combination present in a peacock’s feathers and the purple hues simply leave me breathless.
When I happened upon Naked Elements‘ variety of red eye shadows, I was entranced. The shades of red vegan mineral eye shadow in Cecilia Ras’ shop are spellbinding and sure to stop anyone in their tracks. Make a bold statement with these divine colors:
